Electronic Lock Instructions For Changing The Combination

Securam Lock

We recommend that you change your combination before you begin using your new gun safe.  It is a simple process but must be executed exactly.  First, select a six (6) digit combination that you can easily remember and then follow the instructions below:

1. Enter your existing combination and open the door, with the locking bolts extended.
THE DOOR SHOULD ALWAYS BE OPEN WHEN YOU ARE CHANGING COMBINATIONS.
2. Enter in six (6) zeroes.  This will put you in programming mode.   (You will hear a double beep)
3. Enter in your existing six (6) digit combination.  (You will hear a double beep)
4. Enter your new six (6) digit combination.  (You will hear a single beep)
5. Enter your new six (6) digit combination again.  (You will hear a single beep)
6.  Wait approximately 10 seconds and then enter your new combination.
7. If the procedure was executed properly, you will be able to rotate the handle.
8. If the gun safe will not open, the procedure was incorrectly executed and the combination is still your existing combination in Step 3.  Leave the door open and begin with Step 2.

* If the door will not open after entering your combination or makes several beeps after entering the code, it is usually time for a battery change.   If the battery is
9-volt ALKALINE ENERGIZER or DURACELL make sure the cable leading from the door to the keypad is securely fastened to the plug on the back side of the keypad.

If you enter your code and hear two (2) beeps and no motor sound, please change battery.

On the second try, if you enter your code and hear two (2) beeps and no motor sound and then hear a constant beeping sound, please call customer service.
