"Pursuant to our recent telephone conversation regarding the fire that destroyed our home on February 24th containing my Winchester Safe and guns contained therein, I am sending you a copy of the fire report and pictures of the safe after I was able to open the safe. I was not allowed to enter the remains of the house until the insurance investigator had completed his work some 5 days after the fire. My guns and other valuables stored in the safe suffered only minor damage, thanks to your safe which I had purchased from Costco and installed only about 6 months prior to the fire. The heat from the fire and moisture from the attempt made by the fire department to extinguish the fire resulted in only surface rust on the guns, everything else remained in good condition."
